Governance committees

Our governance committee structure supports the Director-General across the following key governance areas.

Executive governance

Our executive governance committees:

  • provide stewardship of the department's strategic direction and performance
  • make sure the department meets its requirements for:
    • statutory obligations
    • probity and propriety
    • regulatory compliance
    • access, equity, inclusion, diversity and cultural capability.

Our executive governance committees are:

  • Board of Management
  • First Nations Council
  • Audit and Risk Committee.

Strategy performance and corporate governance

These committees provide:

  • oversight of design
  • resources and financial performance
  • monitoring and review of strategy implementation, service delivery, information management and innovation.

Our strategy performance and corporate governance committees are:

  • Information Steering Committee
  • Fraud and Corruption Control Committee.
