Multicultural Peak Funding for Sector Development Services

To safeguard service delivery and support quality outcomes, the Queensland Government recognises the need to ensure that the service system is sustainable, efficient and effective.

The Ethnic Communities Council of Queensland (ECCQ) has been provided funding to engage culturally diverse organisations in sector development activities to support the availability, development and sustainability of high quality community based organisations across the sector, with particular regard to small and emerging ethnic community groups and regional areas.

Funding will continue from 1 July 2019 for three years.

ECCQ will also provide support and build the capability of organisations to access funding. This will include the availability of an online and easily accessible resource, education workshops and funding readiness clinics, one-on-one support for community associations to receive advice on grant eligibility and opportunities, and grant design and writing assistance.
