The Child Protection Reform Leaders Group supported the Interdepartmental Committee by providing a forum for coordinating the whole-of-government implementation of the child protection and family support reforms and resolving interagency issues as they arose.
The group was established in response to Recommendation 4.13 and was chaired by the Deputy Director-General of Policy in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet.
Following consideration of delivery of the next five years of reform, streamlined governance arrangements were enacted to avoid duplication and the Child Protection Reform Leaders Group came to a close. Collaboration with non-government agencies now occurs through the Stakeholder Advisory Group, with other government agencies included in this forum on an as needs basis.
