The Handy Guide for Homeless Women

The Handy Guide for Homeless Women keeps them safe and connected.

The Handy Guide for Homeless Women originated as a partnership between The Lady Musgrave Trust, Centacare, the Queensland Government, Griffith University and the Forum Working Group.

Starting the Handy Guide for Homeless Women directory in 2009, the Lady Musgrave Trust is now proud to say it is one of the most highly regarded directories of its kind for women in need. The Handy Guide is used by women in need, governments, private and not-for-profit organisations right across Queensland.

Each year more than 12,000 copies of the booklet are printed and distributed free thanks to support provided to the Lady Musgrave Trust. As homelessness reached far beyond Brisbane into Regional Queensland, The Lady Musgrave Trust launched The Handy Guide for Homeless Women in Regional Queensland in April 2017. In addition, the map-based online version of the Handy Guide was also launched.

Originally a hard copy directory, it is now in its ninth edition and is easily accessible online. It also includes the ability to search for services near you using an interactive map.
