Loss and grief for children in care

Loss and grief for children in care is a training module designed to provide carers with the basic concepts of loss and grief and strategies to assist children and young people facing these issues.

Information for trainers

This module may be conducted one-on-one or in a small group.
Trainers should refer to the trainer's notes prior to conducting training.
In order to assess that each participant has completed the training to a satisfactory standard, the trainer or other support worker should consult the 'Aims of the workshop' identified on page 9 of the trainer's notes.
