Loss and grief for children in care
Loss and grief for children in care is a training module designed to provide carers with the basic concepts of loss and grief and strategies to assist children and young people facing these issues.
- This module may be conducted one-on-one or in a small group.
- Trainers should refer to the trainer's notes prior to conducting training.
- In order to assess that each participant has completed the training to a satisfactory standard, the trainer or other support worker should consult the 'Aims of the workshop' identified on page 9 of the trainer's notes.
Loss and grief for children in care was developed by Liz Crowe and Dr Judith Murray from the University of Queensland.
