The Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practice Unit (the Unit) is responsible for protecting the rights of adults with an intellectual or cognitive disability by regulating the use of restrictive practices by relevant service providers.

Hours

The Unit’s hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm, excluding public holidays.

Online Data Collection (ODC) Portal

Service providers must use the ODC portal to notify the department of any approval (or consent) to use restrictive practices.
